Statement to voters

As an engineer I am trained to solve problems, not just to complain about them. So when I first heard about the Family Party, I was naturally drawn to its focus on evidence of what works best for society in general, and children in particular, rather than on fashionable but untested ideology. More specifically I appreciate its underlying ethos of gratitude rather than resentment, and its willingness to respectfully and sensitively make the case for its distinctive pro-life policies. My professional work entails helping diverse stakeholders from government, the private sector and civil society work together to better understand and address seemingly intractable problems related to the planning and delivery of public infrastructure. To my mind, this approach based on transparency, participation and honest debate is exactly how the Scottish Family Party is, uniquely, seeking to fix the foundations of Scottish society.
