He went to a non-selective comprehensive school and studied motor engineering as a Ford Motor Company Apprentice. He took those skills into the Army Reserve as a Vehicle Mechanic, retiring after 29-years' service as a Major. He deployed on operational service to Kuwait and Iraq. Concurrently managing his civilian career as a Motor Engineer Assessor in conjunction with regular Army commitments. Twice divorced, with three adult children and two grandchildren. He resides alone, in a long term relationship with his girlfriend. To relax he enjoys long walks in the countryside with their dog. He litter picks solitary most weeks and on occasions with Norfolk Beach Cleans. Trevor's personal statement; " Thankfully the general election has been called; the voting public have an opportunity for radical change. I believe our borough is a fantastic place to live but it can be better and fairer for everyone. I'd like to play my part in delivering a much needed fresh start as the Green Party's parliamentary candidate for Great Yarmouth. I chose to move here from Thurrock because of the good times remembered from childhood. Living here has exceeded my expectations; the opportunities are immense and I feel privileged to be here.  Not everything is rosy; I see the problems in the area; housing, derelict buildings, empty shops, coastal erosion, employment, health inequalities, litter, town centricity. I listen, learn quickly and commit. This puts me in a strong position to fight for the community that I call home. I'm not a politician but I am a natural leader, unafraid of standing up for what is morally right. I was late diagnosed Autistic, I know no other way than honesty and speaking what I think. Autism gives me a distinct advantage; I care about people, places, animals, history and our environment. It also gives me a huge capacity for work but not necessarily saying expectable responses.  I remain hopeful for the future of Great Yarmouth Borough and irrespective of General Election outcome I will strive to make a difference in my community ."
