Statement to voters

I've been a member of the Derby Green Party for some time now and have been very active in both local campaigns and council elections. During this time, we've seen a significant increase in green votes, and a very positive response to our election materials. I want to build on this and prove that The Green Party are a genuine electable party, and that will represent constituents' interests, as well as significantly pushing for progressive change across the country. I also, want to very clearly highlight that I believe everyone has the basic right to respect, freedom from persecution, and protection. I will therefore always stand for the rights of marginalised groups, especially The Trans community, who are currently the focus of unwarranted criticism.
