Statement to voters

I am Owais Rajput, Workers Party candidate for the constituency of Leeds Central and Headingley. It goes without saying that I am: - 100 per cent in support of Palestinian rights - 100 per cent in support of the recognition of a Palestinian State - 100 per cent standing in opposition to the Apartheid State of Israel and its 76 years of oppression of the Palestinian people. 100 per cent in support of an immediate and lasting cease-fire - I support the return to public ownership of all major public utilities that have been privatised - We must return our NHS to full public ownership and control. Private profit has no place in our provision of health care. - We call for love, respect and acceptance for all people irrespective of age, sex, race or sexual orientation. We oppose all forms of discrimination. - Neo-liberal economics has failed our country, its people and the world. We must re-establish control of our own economy. - I call for an end to illegal wars and an end to our annual contribution of £60 billion to NATO.
