Statement to voters

My name is Adam Jogee: your Labour Candidate for Newcastle-under-Lyme I am honoured to be Labour's candidate for the next Member of Parliament for Newcastle-under-Lyme. My values are Staffordshire values: hard work, common sense, and decency. These values shaped my family and drive me every day.​ I am resilient, committed, and focused. I will lead by example. I don't want just to be an MP; I want to be your MP here in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Newcastle-under-Lyme has been let down and left behind by 14 years of Conservative government. The cost of living crisis has made life tough for people across our area, crime is on the rise, and our NHS is broken. My wife is an ICU nurse in our NHS, so I understand the pressures the health service is facing, seeing the impact of the Tories' failure to manage the NHS effectively. In my day job in Labour's Environment team I've worked on Walleys Quarry and raised it at a national level. I am well placed to tackle the issue with both hands, rolling my sleeves up to get the answers and action you deserve. As your MP, I will fight to cut your energy bills, grow our economy, rebuild community policing to tackle antisocial behaviour, reduce NHS waiting times, break down barriers to opportunity by recruiting more teachers and expanding apprenticeships, and protect our environment by cleaning our air and addressing the issue of Walleys Quarry. In me, you will have a dedicated MP. I will work hard, engage with you, and be present. I will work day in and day out to earn your trust and support. ​Newcastle-under-Lyme deserves change. It deserves a fresh start and a mission-driven government that will restore pride and purpose to our country. I will deliver that change.
