Mags Lewis

Statement to voters

Mags has lived and worked in Leicester since 2001, caring passionately for her city. She has been a member of Leicester Green Party since 2007. Mags was a business manager working at Leicester General Hospital in the constituency for several years, and believes Leicester East deserves a local representative who knows the area. A disabled activist, Mags is also committed to environmental and social justice for all. She is honoured to have been selected as prospective parliamentary candidate for Leicester East, where action is needed on housing, flooding and the cost of living crisis. Mags has highlighted the scandal of Hospital Close being left by the council to rot whilst people are homeless , and is proud to support Green policies such as building 100 000 social houses every year, and bringing key utilities such as water and rail services, back into public ownership.
