Sasha has lived in Bournemouth for almost 25 years and has a background in psychology, counselling, business, housing, the arts and advocacy. “I believe local politics should be inclusive, practical and compassionate” he says “I want Winton East, Charminster West & Talbot Woods to have a councillor who listens carefully, acts with integrity, and takes everyday concerns seriously, from neighbourhood safety and community wellbeing to green spaces, youth voice, and animal welfare.” Sasha’s priorities include: Creating cleaner, safer, kinder neighbourhoods free of litter, fly-tipping, graffiti & vandalism Promoting community wellbeing & tackling social isolation through opportunities for connection & support Supporting young people to have their voices heard in local decision-making & providing opportunities to connect with positive role models Protecting & celebrating all wildlife, habitats & green spaces Being a strong voice for the protection of all animals in local decision-making Advocating for responsible companion animal care through education & partnership with local schools & community groups Strengthening community life through inclusive events that bring residents together & build belonging Supporting thriving local high streets & welcoming public spaces Championing human rights & democratic participation to ensure a local culture where residents feel informed & respected, safe to participate & tackle challenges together As a political candidate and activist, Sasha is committed to championing the ethical treatment of animals, environmental sustainability, and social justice. He believes in the principles of non-violence, equality, diversity, and compassionate dialogue, striving to build a society that respects all living beings. Sasha advocates for policies that promote ecological balance, protect habitats, and recognise the rights of all animals. He is dedicated to bridging the increasing gap between mental and physical health, recognising they are not separate but interconnected.
