Statement to voters

Hello I’m Yvonne Wilding. I am a mother of 3 grown up children and have lived in Buckinghamshire since 1987 and in Great Kingshill for 13 years. I have an amazing supportive husband Richard and we have been together for over 40 years. We play an active part in our community through church and I support local environmental groups and I am a Councillor at Hughenden Parish council. I am a scientist by training, I love nature and our beautiful Bucks countryside. I have had a very challenging career developing new medicines for over 40 years. I am very proud of my record for introducing new therapies but also stopping those products that either didn’t work or were unsafe. I will absolutely stand up to oppose when I believe something is wrong. When I lived in Little Chalfont there was a planning application for a massive free range chicken farm. I gave scientific evidence in court on the risks of avian viral transmission to people, which stopped the project progressing. I also am a qualified project manager and have worked on multiple, long term, complex, global projects. I think personal integrity and bravery are critical attributes for anyone seeking to represent their community. I also believe, If we are unhappy with what our politicians offer us, it is our responsibility to stand up and challenge it. I believe SDP offers a positive change for our country.
