Statement to voters

I am Mark James, your potential parliamentary candidate for the Orpington constituency. With a background primarily in Information Technology within the banking and business sectors, spanning over 25 years both in the UK and internationally, I also ventured into entrepreneurship, founding and managing my own small IT company for a decade. During this time, I had the privilege of employing staff and providing essential services to businesses and educational institutions. Additionally, I dabbled in small-scale commercial real estate ventures. While I have not been deeply involved in politics in the past, recent years have highlighted to me the systemic flaws within our political system. It has become increasingly evident that our current political landscape no longer accurately represents the average working person of our nation. A significant portion of the political elite seems disconnected from the everyday realities faced by the majority, often making decisions that do not align with the desires of the electorate. This status quo urgently demands change. I firmly believe that Members of Parliament are elected to serve their constituents and hold the government accountable. However, this fundamental principle appears to have been lost amidst the current political climate. It is my steadfast belief that the only political party capable of restoring Great Britain to a true democracy is Reform UK.
