Robert William Watson

Statement to voters

Robert Watson is a partner in a third generation hardware business in Sutton-on-Sea where he was born and bred. He was elected on to East Lindsey District Council in 2023 and he also sits on Mablethorpe and Sutton Town Council.  He has served as chair of governors at his former primary school in the village and has been a long time contributor to the Meridale Youth Centre in the roles of secretary, treasurer and chairman until 2018. He has brought up two children in the village; one of whom is now a partner in the family business.  Having worked over 40 years on the high street in Sutton-on-Sea he is well-known locally and has supported the carnival committee, horticultural society and late-night shopping events, putting up bunting and fixing Christmas lights on the high street. He is also a trustee of several local charities.
