Statement to voters

I'm standing to be the next MP for Barnsley South because we are proud of Barnsley and the people that live there but we could deliver an even brighter future if we have real devolution for Yorkshire- at the moment all real decisions are made in London. This needs to change and a vote for the Yorkshire Party drives this change. There are 5.5m people living in Yorkshire so it’s comparable with Scotland, bigger than Wales and Ireland, and comparable with Norway – and yet it doesn’t really have any self-determination powers. We need to get devolution so we can focus on infrastructure projects and things that are meaningful to the people of Yorkshire and the wider UK.  .
