Statement to voters

Tyrone Scott is Head of Campaigns at War on Want, acting on global inequality, climate injustice and justice for Palestinians. He previously worked at Shelter, and alongside his work with Hackney Greens has fought for housing justice, defended tenants’ rights, and challenged bad landlords. Tyrone served on the Young Greens Executive Committee, and chaired the Global Majority Greens, shaping Green Party policy. He stood as the Green parliamentary candidate for Hackney South and Shoreditch in 2019, and is respected in the party and beyond as a campaigner and community organiser. Tyrone also stood to be Deputy Leader of the Green Party in 2022, placing second behind Zack Polanski. He says, “Hackney Wick deserves bold representation— standing up for tenants, protecting our community spaces, and building a greener, fairer borough for everyone.”
