Statement to voters
Richard Davis is the Parliamentary Candidate for Battersea. He is committed to changing Britain's future, to stopping a disastrous hard Brexit and fighting for the rights of all EU citizens living in the UK. Richard is a passionate Liberal Democrat and long-time Battersea resident, working hard to give everyone in his local community a fair chance in life. He has campaigned on a wide range of issues including maintaining local libraries and keeping free playground access. Richard has previously been a school governor at High View Primary and was a Director of CASE, a charity which aims to improve the scientific health of the UK. Richard's background is as a research scientist, he has collaborated on research topics with teams across the EU as well as working in labs in Holland and Cyprus. This has given him first-hand knowledge of the benefits of co-operation with our European neighbours, and like 75% of Battersea residents he voted Remain. Richard is pledged to fighting to stop hardliners trying to force the UK over a cliff-edge of hard Brexit.
