Statement to voters

"I am proud to be standing to be the next Conservative MP for Manchester Gorton. I grew up in Manchester and went to school in the constituency, so know what a vibrant and exciting place it is to live and work. It is an honour to stand as Conservative candidate for the constituency, and it would be an honour to serve as your Member of Parliament. I have five children of school and pre-school age, and therefore understand how important education, health, and social services are to families and individuals in the Manchester Gorton constituency. As someone who has worked in the private sector since leaving university, I also know how important it is to maintain a strong local and national economic outlook, which only a Conservative government can deliver. I have been a community campaigner for most of my adult life, and have a strong track record working with local authorities and other public bodies in order to deliver better outcomes for the public. If elected as your Member of Parliament I will use this experience to hit the ground running and campaign for the best possible local services for residents of the Manchester Gorton constituency."
