Statement to voters
I have been lucky enough to have served this community for five years as a Councillor on both Swale Borough Council and Town Council and also as a trustee of 3 local charities. All these roles have allowed me to meet some incredible people, learn so much about what impacts the daily lives of residents and to be able to make small but meaningful changes We have all been let down by over a decade of this Conservative Government and on the doorsteps people tell me that they are ready for change. They can feel their NHS struggling, they see the hours of sewage pumped into our seas and rivers every week and the cost of living crisis means that far too many are having to rely on foodbanks just to feed their families. They remember the lock down parties when they weren’t able to visit relatives or attend their funerals. Even life long Conservatives have had enough. Every vote for the Lib Dems locally is a vote for a fair deal and a commitment to work hard to represent everyone to the absolute best of my ability. Alongside being a candidate here, I will be doing everything that I can to beat Conservatives across other key parts of the Country. Win or lose, I am dedicated to serving our community and whoever crosses the line on polling day, I hope that they will give Faversham and Mid Kent the true local representation that it has so badly lacked for too long.
