Statement to voters

“I am delighted to have the chance to become Gosport’s next MP. I promise to work hard to end austerity and see that the NHS and education are in safe hands. Serious action needs to be taken to tackle crime and the climate crisis. “The Liberal Democrats are now the main challengers to the Conservatives here in Gosport. The Liberal Democrats won more seats than the Conservatives in the 2018 local council elections and polled more votes than the Conservatives in the June 2019 European elections in Gosport. “At the forthcoming General Election, there is a real chance to elect a new Liberal Democrat MP for Gosport and give our local area and the nation the fresh start that’s needed. I hope people will vote MP4MP.”
