Statement to voters
Angela Thomson is the Green Party candidate for the new Essex County Council division of Danbury & the Hanningfields. She is a frequent visitor to Essex Wildlife Trust reserve at Hanningfield reservoir & to Royal Horticultural Society Hyde Hall. Angela has lived in Chelmsford since 1978 & her main political interests are planning, buses & libraries. She is still a member of Save Our Libraries Essex as despite ECC not closing any libraries as they had proposed, there are now plans to charge users if they want or need to request a specific book. This is not a fair decision as library users will be charged for wanting to read any books that are not sitting on the shelves at their local branch library. Few other nearby library authorities charge for reservations & those that do, charge much less than the ECC are going to do. The Green Party will do their best to get the charges scrapped. In her leisure time, Angela enjoys doing quiz evenings, drinking real ale & lunching with friends, as well as listening to live music at venues around Essex & further afield.
