Statement to voters

It is a privilege to be able to stand for this great constituency. I have worked here for some time now and used to live here. I love this area and feel a great affinity with it. I am standing because I believe Brexit is in peril. We are going about it the wrong way. It is much better for us to use the Repeal of the 1972 Act to get us out of the EU. We can then take up our former position in the World Trade Organisation and negotiate a trade deal with the EU as a free nation. We can also start making trade deals with the rest of the world rather than staying in the EU for another two years.This will make us stronger. We can also spend valuable time rebuilding our country and its institutions. It's the best solution. We need not waste another penny on the EU.
