Statement to voters
Hello, I’m Jewel Miah and I’m running to be the MP for Loughborough. I live in Loughborough and have grown up in the town. All my family and friends are here and my children go to local schools. I myself went to Cobden, Limehurst and Burleigh before going on to University to study Business. I have a wealth of experience built up over the past ten years as a local councillor and even longer as member of various community organisations in and around the Constituency. I am aware of issues that affect everyday ordinary people such as you as they affect me too. Slowing income, rising prices, not being able to get a timely doctor’s appointment to name a few. However I’m not a career politician as I also work full time as a Store Manager for a well-known multinational company. Leading a team of over 70 staff I am well aware of business and economic needs as well as the needs of my staff and their wellbeing. You have a choice on 8 June, more austerity and stripping away of essential services under the Conservatives or an investment in the future with me. I promise I will not let you down. I am looking forward to leading the campaign against this unpopular Tory Government and its unfair and unjust policies.
