Statement to voters

I have lived in South Leicestershire with my wife and three children since 2003. I work as an accountant, running my own practice. I am passionate about promoting the growth of local businesses and creating jobs in Leicestershire. I have been a Braunstone Town councillor since 2011 and was Braunstone Town Mayor 2014/15. As Town Mayor I became involved with several community groups including Leicester Charity link, helping to raise nearly £5,000 to tackle poverty in Leicestershire. In 2015 I was elected to Blaby District Council where I serve as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group. I have also served as a police volunteer for several years. I run a councillor surgery on the first Saturday of each month for the benefit of the residents I represents. I have worked closely with local authorities to control anti-social behaviour and environmental issues in the area. I am also a member of Unite and the Co-operative Party. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, supporting Leicester City & fundraising for charities.
