Statement to voters

I am excited to be part of a national wave of grassroots independents rising to challenge the systems that have created increasing inequality and a fall in the standard of living for the majority of people around the country. Vote for a member of Parliament who will battle against the vested interests that have led to the corruption of our democracy. Our rivers are heavily polluted and there is an alarming decline in biodiversity. Solutions cannot be found in the private sector which has the primary goal of profit, not the well-being of people and the planet. I am passionate about: • Urgent action on the nature and climate crisis • Public ownership of NHS, transport, water & utilities • Free university education, no tuition fees • The CASS Report • Redistribution of wealth for a fairer society • Significant investment in public housing • Multinational companies pay tax in the UK • Investment in mental health & youth services • Action to prevent violence against women • Urgent ceasefire in Palestine and Ukraine • Green job creation programmes, not national service I was a Councillor for Nether Edge & Sharrow from 2016-2022. During my final year, I was a Cabinet Member on Sheffield City Council. I have a track record of challenging the establishment and speaking truth to power. There is a crisis of confidence in politics. Repeatedly voting for mainstream parties will lead to continuing austerity and inequality. Independent voices can change this.
