Statement to voters

My name is Adie Peppiatt. I've lived in the constituency since 2000 and was born in the Reading East constituency. I had a rather difficult childhood. My mother won the jackpot at the bingo and decided to do a runner. Leaving my poor father to raise 4 unruly kids on his own. He's naturally my hero by the way. Having a difficult childhood did have its advantages though. I learned to cook, sew, and pay for my own clothes from money earned doing a milk round, all by the time I was 11yrs old. Unfortunately, everything comes at a price. I was expelled from 3 schools and missed approximately 5yrs of schooling, much to my regret. Luckily, I made some great friendships in my last school and the bond I made then, is still as strong today. All our wives and children get on great as well. Almost a miracle in this day and age. It's because of my relationship with my friends that I've decided to stand as an independent for the Reading west and mid Berkshire seat. I'm desperate for the government to create a proper deterrent against knife crime and to help our youngsters onto the housing ladder. I've worked as a bricklayer most of my adult life, but also had a 5yr sabbatical to work around Europe. I was without doubt the worst waiter in Switzerland and probably the worst kitchen porter in Holland (Netherlands) as well. I'm an Auf Wiedersehen pet veteran as well. While working as a bricklayer in German, I met my long-suffering wife, who I'm pleased to say is still putting up with me to this day. If a miracle happened and I was to get elected, I'd spend all my time lobbying those who'd listen to me, to try and get a proper deterrent against knife crime. Your vote for me is a vote against the stagnation and unimaginative polices of this and previous incumbents. It's time to give the little man/woman their chance.
