Statement to voters

I'm married with a grown-up son. Before taking early retirement, I was a senior manager at West Cheshire College (now Cheshire College South & West) as Faculty Director for the faculty of Humanities, Languages and Technology. I have lived in Chester all my life and in Christleton, which is now part of this new constituency, for more than 30 years. I have been a Parish Councillor, a Local Authority Councillor and been active in my local community in a variety of roles for the past 30 years. I was a supporter/member/activist of the Labour Party for many years before joining the Green Party and hold strong views about social justice, economic and industrial relations fairness and the responsibility of those in positions of power and influence (no matter how limited) to make the lives of ordinary people better.
